Privacy Policy
Aplomo helps you prepare for job interviews: your résumé and stories, the roles you’re pursuing, practice, live cues during an interview, and reflection afterwards. To do that, it handles personal and career information. This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have.
The short version: your workspace is private to you, we don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use tracking or analytics tools.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, which comes from how you sign in (Google or an emailed code), plus the invite code you used and when you accepted the beta agreement.
- What you add: documents you upload (such as your résumé), your profile, stories, facts, pitches, answers, jobs and job descriptions, interview rounds and notes.
- What Aplomo creates for you: AI drafts, company research, role-fit notes, likely questions, interview cues and debrief insights.
- Interview transcripts: when you use Cuecard’s listening, the interviewer’s questions it heard and the cues it showed are saved with that session. Aplomo never saves audio. You can delete all transcripts, or have them cleared after 30 or 90 days, in Settings.
- Feedback: notes you send through the Feedback button, with your email address and the screen you were on.
How we use it
- To run Aplomo for you: store your workspace, generate drafts and research you ask for, and give live cues.
- To keep the service working and secure, and to fix problems.
- To improve Aplomo based on the feedback you send.
We don’t sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with employers or recruiters.
Services that help us run Aplomo
We use a small number of providers. Each one receives only what it needs for its job.
| Provider | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, database and sign-in | Your account and workspace data |
| Sign-in with Google, if you choose it | Your name and email address | |
| Anthropic (Claude) | The AI behind drafts, research, cues and insights | The text needed for the feature you’re using |
| Deepgram | Speech to text, when Cuecard is listening | The audio while you’re listening |
| Your web browser | Backup speech to text, if Deepgram isn’t available | The audio while you’re listening; your browser’s maker (such as Google or Apple) may process it |
| Notion | Our product backlog | Feedback you send, with your email address (removed if you delete your account) |
When you paste a job link, Aplomo fetches that page from the job site to read the posting. Company research looks up public information on the web.
Who can see your workspace
Only you, when you’re signed in. Other people using Aplomo can’t see your data. The team that runs Aplomo can technically access the database to operate and fix the service, and only looks at personal content when needed to fix a problem or when you ask us to.
Cookies and storage
We use a sign-in cookie so you stay signed in, and your browser’s local storage for small settings, like whether you’ve seen the tour. No advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete items in Aplomo at any time. To delete your account and everything in it, go to Settings → Your data → Delete my account.
Your choices
- See and edit what you’ve added, at any time, in Aplomo.
- Download a copy of everything Aplomo holds about you, or delete your account, in Settings → Your data.
- Ask us any time to correct or delete your information.
- Turn off Cuecard listening and type questions instead. Cuecard asks for your consent before it first listens.
Using Cuecard in interviews
Cuecard can listen to a call to transcribe questions. Laws on recording and transcribing calls differ by place, and some require everyone’s consent. You’re responsible for using listening only where it’s allowed.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, sign-in is handled by Cloudflare Access, and every request is checked against your account. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects your information, we’ll tell you.
Children
Aplomo is for adults and isn’t intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and let you know in Aplomo when the change is significant.
